Trauma Informed
Educated and experienced with symptoms associated with developmental trauma, environmental trauma, PTSD and C-PTSD.
If you are experiencing acute severe symptoms, it may be advisable to gain support from mental health care professionals before receiving bodywork. When you are ready, therapeutic touch can help you realign with presence in your body. Prioritizing connection and trust within your own Self can provide a stronger foundation to reconnect to the world around you in a way that feels safe and secure. One step at a time, at a pace that works for you.
Sensitivities to certain sensory stimulation can be supported here. Low lighting, sound preferences, smells and other details can be taken into consideration to support your comfort. Please reach out if you would like to discuss if the time and place are right for you to receive bodywork.
I have every intention to provide a safe space for you to receive therapeutic touch through mindful presence and consent. It is not important for you to disclose whether or not you have experienced trauma. You may, only if you wish. If you have any concerns or sensitivities with areas of your body, certain movements, sounds, or other sensory concerns, I want to work with you to provide the most therapeutic healing environment possible. Trauma is a stress that can live buried in the body in profound and varying ways. When the time and conditions are right for you, intentional therapeutic touch can help you reclaim and build a new relationship with your body. It is possible for feelings and emotions to surface while receiving the work as the body opens up and that is okay. There is space for that here. There are no judgements and the session can stop or readjust at any time.

All bodies are deserving of health, care and respect regardless of your past or identity.
